“The Tacuma has suffered from having its small advantage over is rivals slowly eroded as other manufacturers have increasingly improved their cars. When the Tacuma was launched in 2000 (as a Daewoo), it offered a three-year warranty, anti-lock brakes, driver and passenger airbags and three years' free servicing as standard. Late in 2000 the major manufacturers that weren't already offering a long-term warranty made their move, beginning with Ford, ABS was introduced as standard by all mainstream manufacturers on a voluntary basis from July 2004, while it is now rare to find any car that doesn't offer at least two airbags. Since 2005 the Tacuma has been sold as a Chevrolet, and in 2006 Chevrolet decided to abandon its free servicing deal in favour of a fixed-price servicing package. While the Tacuma is reasonably roomy and has individual folding rear seats, it looks out of date alongside most rivals.”
